Our Facility

The building now called Manna House of Prayer has been a convent, a school, a hospital, a nursing home and — since 1978 — a spiritual retreat center. It is also home to Sisters of St. Joseph of Concordia who serve as Manna House staff members.

Through two new programs, even more people have been able to call Manna House their temporary home — if only for a night. And we make our comfortable home available to small groups and families for conferences, meetings, workshops and other gatherings. We also welcome individuals seeking serenity and solitude for a personal sabbatical of whatever length you need. Using Manna House for private functions

People who have taken part in a workshop or retreat at Manna House often ask if they can come back to use our facilites. Once they’ve experienced the comfortable serenity within our building and on our grounds, they want to share it with others. If you’re interested in using our facilities for a private gathering, please give us a call to talk about the details. As always, we’re reachable at 785/243-4428.
