Journaling

Keeping a journal enriches life!  Through writing, we are able to get in touch with our everyday experiences.  Journaling is not like a diary which merely records daily events.  To reap rewards of journaling, one can “let go” in order to explore thoughts, motives and reasons for stress, for example. We are the experts on our life and so we trust what we write.  The result sometimes clarifies how we feel, what we think and we make new connections wihout being aware of trying to do so.

Questions I might ask myself for example:   What have been the dozen most important encounters in my life so far?  Or, What have been the highlights of the year?  Write about one of them.  or What does my life feel like right now? Journaling is a method which attends to personal growth in a simple and easy way.

Seasonal Spirituality

As the year has its seasons, so too our lives. Once during each of the four seasons, a spirituality day is offered on a theme that resonates with the rhythm of the natural world’s cycle. These days include input, prayer, journaling and other contemplative activities. Like a mini-vacation, participation offers rest and renewal of body, mind and spirit.
