Spiritual Companioning – Holy Listening

What is Spiritual Companioning?

It is a process of intentional listening to your spiritual journey. It is a way of seeking God’s Wisdom. It is a spiritual practice oriented towards opening one to deeper self-understanding and discovery of God in all aspects of life.

It is the privilege and responsibility of a spiritual companion to journey with you through dialogue and listening, as you deepen your relationship with God. This companioning takes place in the context of confidential, one-on-one sessions.

Enrich yourself through a conversation with a Spiritual Companion once a month or as the need arises.

Why might someone want spiritual companioning?

  • to identify and trust your own experience of God.
  • to integrate spirituality into your daily life.
  • to discern and make difficult choices.
  • to share struggles, losses or disappointments.
  • to find encouragement and affirmation.
  • to grow in the ability to live relationships wiht God, self, others and creation with greater integrity.
  • to foster ways of prayer.

One Response to Spiritual Direction

  1. Susan says:

    Jana,

We have several spiritual directors available. I would get you in contact with one of them and then you and your director would set up a schedule that works for both of you. Spiritual directors here at Manna House are Sister Janet Lander and Sister Betty Suther. Sister Janet also does spiritual direction on SKYPE. Sister Liberata Pellerin and Sister Bette Moslander both do directed retreats. So give me a call (785) 243-4428 and we will see what we can set up.

Sessions are usually 45 minutes to 1 hour in length. Cost is $30 per session.

    Thank you for your interest.
